Allison hired me to be her birth photographer for her planned c section in June!

At the University of Michigan womens hospital doulas are now allowed back to support clients during c sections! I was so excited to be able to go back and document a birth- but had no idea what to expect.

It was so beautiful to be a part of her birth. Everyone was so attentive and caring, they played her music, talked her through everything. She asked for a clear drape and then skin to skin as soon as she could. One of the big things was she really wanted to nurse as soon as she could, so once baby got back skin to skin we got her nursing!!
