What is Placenta Encapsulation?
Placenta encapsulation is the process of dehydrating the placenta, grinding it into powder, and placing it into easy-to-take capsules—just like a vitamin. These capsules may help replenish hormones and nutrients lost during birth, potentially easing postpartum recovery and supporting emotional well-being.

Yes. All reusable equipment is thoroughly sanitized using bloodborne pathogen safety protocols. Hanna is certified in Bloodborne Pathogen Safety.
Can I keep my placenta if I deliver in a hospital?
Yes, but check with your provider—some hospitals (e.g., Henry Ford in Jackson) may require paperwork or bloodwork. Let your provider know ahead of time you plan to keep your placenta.
If the placenta is sent to pathology, it can no longer be encapsulated or tinctured.
In that case, we can still make a placenta print.
